Soooooo, DeathSentence wants to fuck around with the Mouse

Good luck, you fucking oxygen thief, you'll find out.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ron-desantis-signals-support-for-stripping-disney-of-special-self-governing-status-as-feud-escalates/ar-AAVJgjp?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=5d8acfd179b5464399dd8e7fb0078d73

Leader of the MAGAt community in Florida, Gov. Ron DeathSentence on Thursday signaled support for stripping Disney of its 55-year-old special status that allows the entertainment company to operate as an independent government around its Orlando-area theme park.

It's the latest fallout in the feud between DeathSentence, a Republican widely seen as a potential 2024 presidential contender, and Disney, Florida's largest private employer, over a measure that bans schools from teaching young children about sexual orientation or gender identity.

After DeathSentence signed the bill into law earlier Monday, the Walt Disney Company wrote in a statement that its "goal" was to get the law repealed or defeated in the courts.

Just like in TX, the voters in the RED state of FL, will almost certainly re-elect this piece of excrement later this year. And he Knows it. That’s why he feels emboldened to get away with this type of shit.

They literally own the airwaves and media down there (or large parts of it). They could singlehandedly and with little effort media carpet bomb him into the 9th level of hell with negative ads. If you think it won't matter, think again. He may squeak by and survive it, but it's not a fight a moron like him is truly equipped to engage in. Meanwhile, Disney has some of the most talented people alive working for them and the money to keep them productive; they also have the moral high ground here.

Northern Counties. While we do love Republicans, and other brands of Fascists, but there is just not the population to support your inference.

The population of three counties down South are: Miami‑Dade County 2,701,767, Broward County-1,944,375, Palm Beach County-1,492,191. There are eight counties that share a roughly 320 mile border with Georgia, the combined population of the eight is about 620,000. Don't blame DeSantis, or the actions of our House on us; we have a say, but the big boys down South rule.

Just so that you know, two of those 8 counties, including the largest (Leon) voted for Biden in the last election.

If they repeal Reedy Creek, it could impact every CDD in the state. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of such developments in Florida. All done after Disney and Bush put the law through. What will happen to these, as well? Will put housing in chaos.

Disney needs a place where the weather permits around the year outside operation, so that pretty much limits it to the Southernmost states, and none of them are better enough to entice Disney to walk away from uncounted billions that they have invested in Orlando.
Disney does have money to influence elections, it makes more sense for them to help push DeSatan out of office.

So much for pro-business Republicans.

I can't believe they are willing to cut ties with a major corporation and huge donor just to stick it to some gay and trans kids.

Oh wait, nevermind, I can totally believe it.

The GOP, the party of hatred and denying equal rights.
