The components of the Molotov cocktails are comparable to Napalm. Judge leans into her concerns about Coffman... a Vietnam veteran... whom the judge says should know about the power and destructiveness of napalm.

Coffman was NOT part of the riot at the Capitol. "Not part of the Insurrection" per judge. He was in DC with a cache of weapons and Molotov cocktails across from Capitol on Jan 6... but not part of the riot itself, judge says

Judge says Coffman had enough weapons "ready to do battle" and expresses her concern that she's not getting an answer as to why
Judge is channeling the voice of many who closely follow this case. Why did he park across street from the Capitol at 920am..the morning of the siege?

(19,074 posts)These sentences are pathetic. This man is a terrorist and deserves 20 years or more.
gratuitous
(82,849 posts)They hand out the 20 year sentences to young, impressionable men that the FBI can gull into setting up a fake explosive device, then swoop in and arrest at the supreme moment when bomb-that's-not-a-bomb doesn't go off.

(14,118 posts)trashing and given you a rec. Too bad Will and Chris can't do that!
I'm not thrilled with the sentence.
While the man was not "officially" part of the mob, he was there Jan 6, parked down the street from the Capitol in a truck full of explosives and weapons. According to reports, he had been in DC for a week, apparently living out of the truck.

Crystal Mason got more time than that for casting an illegal vote. America is a joke.
