(17,865 posts)front preserving rights that should have long since reverted to the public. Some of the creators have been dead 60 to 70 years.
I might be onboard with those types of changes if they are applied across the board.

(17,865 posts)Fascists work hand in hand with the industries that support them. They crush those that don't. Of course at the end of the day pretty much any authoritarian regime divides into two classes of animals. Some are more equal than others.

When they start to line up some of the journalist, politicians, rich people against the Wall in order to appease their MAGA base - then that I would so enjoy.

(7,543 posts)I'd gladly vote to outlaw corporations altogether. Let's return personal responsibility and liability to business in America.

"Nice business you have there, you might still have it later if you just play ball with destroying America and handing it to Putin."
Odd, how what would have been ridiculous hyperbole a few years ago and now it's justifiable perception.

(1,792 posts)...where the Trumpers were actually attacking big business and corporations using the moronic lingo of the alt-right (corporations are "woke", "cucked", etc.). That's really dangerous, as it shows that the division between the business/financial wing and the, let's say, "cultural" wing of the Republicans is now like the Grand Canyon, and worse yet, they are completely open about it in public. I recall that some of the worst rhetoric (like the Ingraham example here) was at their recent conventions, especially the CPAC ones. It shows that the party has lost control of its base, and they are now completely radicalized. The left should be winning the Trumpers to our side, but good luck with that if they actually believe any of their own rhetoric.
