The worlds laundromat for dirty money, Real estate.

Russians buying real estate in England, America, around the world to launder their dirty money. A lot of politicians had to look the other way for that shit to happen. Same goes for bankers.

You know who has known about this for years is, Trump. Trump knew about this shit and he wanted in the game. Real estate is where Trump made a lot of his dirty connections. This is why Trump loves Putin and Russia so much. When it comes to dirty money, real estate, Trump doesn't care who he is dealing with. He thinks it's smart business, everybody is doing it.

Remember the Russian who paid double the price for one of Trumps properties in Florida?

Remember when Maddow and Engel reported about Trump tower in Panama? Other Trump towers in corrupt countries.

Trump has been living in filth, dirty money, dirty people, dirty real estate, his entire life. To him, it's normal, nothing wrong with it, it's smart. His father taught him well, on how to live a life of filth.

... stolen oil money by middle eastern leaders, and Iranian Revolutionary Guards

Heydar Aliyev Prospekti, a broad avenue in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, connects the airport to the city. The road is meant to highlight Baku’s recent modernization, and it is lined with sleek new buildings. The Heydar Aliyev Center, an undulating wave of concrete and glass, was designed by Zaha Hadid. The state oil company is housed in a twisting glass tower, and the headquarters of the state water company looks like a giant water droplet. “It’s like Potemkin,” my translator told me. “It’s only the buildings right next to the road.” Behind the gleaming structures stand decaying Soviet-era apartment blocks, with clothes hanging out of windows and wallboards exposed by fallen brickwork.

As you approach the city center, a tower at the end of the avenue looms in front of you. Thirty-three stories high and curved to resemble a sail, the building was clearly inspired by the Burj Al Arab Hotel, in Dubai, but it is boxier and less elegant. When I visited Baku, in December, five enormous white letters glowed at the top of the tower: T-R-U-M-P.

The building, a five-star hotel and residence called the Trump International Hotel & Tower Baku, has never opened, though from the road it looks ready to welcome the public. Reaching the property is surprisingly difficult; the tower stands amid a welter of on-ramps, off-ramps, and overpasses. During the nine days I was in town, I went to the site half a dozen times, and on each occasion I had a comical exchange with a taxi-driver who had no idea which combination of turns would lead to the building’s entrance.

They kept building and rebuilding it to keep washing the $. I think it caught fire and somebody else owns it now.

I was editing a book for a friend and watched her reporting on it. The book author was very familiar with Russian political moves, especially with the former USSR countries so we had some very interesting conversations about the connections implied in the OP.

Russian asset. I met the owner at a birthday party our kids went to school together.

It has people working there on minor projects and upkeep. But nobody lives there.

He's probably small beans as far as oligarchs go but he had Porsche, BMW Mercedes etc... Rented out a entire local toy store for his sons birthday party. Living large on stolen assets is he Russian version of making it big.

Used to laundry drug money . Local town you can't even look at any properties because the drug dealers just buy between themselves. Only way to buy a property is if it is in Hud or an out of state realtor has it.

Gigantic, glitzy high-rises that sit totally empty. So bizarre.

Any house and a bunch of empty old buildings built late 1800s ,early 1900. Absolutely tired of the drug economy.

but Guadalajara is FULL of brand new hi-rises. It's like a deliberate FU to everyone.

There's a reason I am uncomfortable stepping foot in that country (most of it's related to my work, but still).
