https://www.nj.com/weather/2022/04/another-monster-hurricane-season-on-tap-for-2022-heres-what-forecasters-from-accuweather-predict.htmlThe 2022 Atlantic hurricane season doesnt officially start until June 1, but long-range forecasters from AccuWeather have already weighed in on how stormy they believe this year will be.
The bottom line: They think we are facing another extreme hurricane season, with as many as 16 to 20 named storms developing and six to eight of those becoming hurricanes. Of those hurricanes, the forecasters believe three to five will strengthen into major hurricanes
They also believe four to six tropical storms or hurricanes will have a direct impact on the United States. That includes the U.S. mainland as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

(32,736 posts)I use to use that site for my local weather report. They would say rain will end in 30 minutes. Hadn't seen any all day and the sun was shinning. I'm thinking they could, at least look out the window.
Hope they are off some for the Gulf.
Good luck.

(16,201 posts)It was headed right for me, but veered right and gave me the rain shield instead. I find the East side of the storm does all of the wind damage. If a storm goes west of me, even as a weak tropical storm, the power lines take a beating.
