ing Mika constantly. It's very annoying and find the show unwatchable this morning. Sorry, had to vent, he drives me nuts!

(6,283 posts).... including me. Whenever there is a thread that starts out something like "I had to turn Morning Joe off", or "I just couldn't take anymore from Joe Scarborough" etc etc etc, you can be sure that they watch Morning Joe on a regular basis, and won't stop watching because they post how much they can't stand Joe Scarborough and Morning Joe.
The same applies to Bill Maher.

SNIP:
Morning Joe ranked No. 2 across all of cable television in its time period for the 11th month in a row. On Feb. 24, 2022, the start of Russias invasion of Ukraine, Morning Joe delivered its best audience in total viewers (1.6 million) since April 16 of last year, when protests emerged after the fatal police shooting of Daunte Wright.

(38,958 posts)I was watching NHK news from Japan and enjoy the professionalism of their reporting. Had some good pieces on several topics this morning.

(6,283 posts)Joe Scarborough is a little rough a little crude, and a little rude, but ironically, it's one of the reasons I watch Morning Joe. It's obvious to me that people rag on Joe Scarborough because he is a former repug turned independent conservative who I am watching right now raking Ron DeSantis over the coals. Weird.

(16,829 posts)He is a self-absorbed pompous asshole who has great guests.

(6,283 posts).... but, like yourself, it's an opinion, and I believe it's about 50% hosts, and 50% guests. If you care to conduct a poll, I would sure take the outcome into consideration. The only stipulation I would put on the poll is that it be anonymous. I think for a lot of people Morning Joe is a guilty pleasure they don't want to admit to publicly. If you were to take away the people who hate on him publicly, but watch his show daily in a private setting, his ratings would probably drop several percentage points.

(12,410 posts)Joe is a know-it-all blabbermouth, but there are some very knowledgeable guests and regulars. I need a daily Eugene Robinson fix anyway.

(63,914 posts)I don't have to love him. His show is useful, I think. And, like lots of people, I am not getting all my information from his show. I want to hear from other news people, writers of think pieces from publications I respect. He also has historians on tap and they give you historical perspective. They write books I am interested in reading.
The show is MSM. It has gotten better and more Democratic than Republican, like a lot of America in places where people think.
I don't know what you are expecting the MSM to give you. Morning Joe has become less right wing and more like a form of Democratic liberalism. They make money. The book authors get a lot of attention and sell books out of MJ. I don't care, I can make my own decisions as to which books I will buy.
