Was it because of new evidence or public backlash?

(2,801 posts)And I think it comes down to pressure. I don't agree on letting up on these people who have the power to prosecute, whether it be Bragg, our AG, or anyone else. If we *don't* apply pressure by letting them know what WE expect them to do with the overwhelming evidence, then what are we here for? Sheep to the slaughter? If our opinions are going to count, we have to make them heard. While making them heard in a forum such as this, even as well known as DU is, probably is small beans... our expectations evidently ARE getting picked up by someone, somewhere.
I'm one person who is sick to death of getting up to the finish line and seeing someone wimp out on us. If they can't stand the heat, they need to vacate the office and go back to somewhere safer, less political. No way you can cut it... if you're dealing with a politician on ANY issue, it's going to be political (or at least made to seem that way). Cut through the crap and go with the evidence. And if you don't have the evidence, you better make it clear to everyone WHY you don't have the evidence and what the lack is. These aren't little court cases in small claims court. It's the big time, it's why they get paid the big bucks. And I'm tired of seeing them lose good prosecutors to those of T's who are more loudmouthed. I say WE NEED to get as loudmouthed as they are. We won't get nearly as violent as the MAGATS, and I still think that's why a lot of these guys shun the limelight of Truth.
I wouldn't blame them, but then I never made the big bucks for anything. The field I was in, women were lucky if they made the 60 cents to every dollar the guys made. I have a hell of a lot more respect for the election volunteers and low-paid, low-level election workers who stood their ground and stood up for Truth, no matter how political the other side made it, and no matter how deadly the threats became.

(2,390 posts)Is a non-media savvy coward. Hes literally been in hiding for weeks here ducking the press over this debacle.
Hes stringing folks along hoping one of the other AGs indict so he can fold his tent and make THIS one go away.

(6,176 posts)it does seem like deliberate foot-dragging. It won't take much to drag this out a couple more years. Keep the investigation alive, but never get to the point where it goes anywhere.
By the time we know what Bragg's intention really is, it will be after the 2022 election, and perhaps after the 2024 election.
In my opinion, I don't think this will go to a Grand Jury unless there is a change at the DA's office.
