ATLANTA, GA. (WCTV/AP) - U.S representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a lawsuit challenging a provision in the 14th amendment in Georgia’s state law that a group of voters are using against her eligibility to run for reelection.

The challenge filed last month against Greene alleges that she helped facilitate the January 6, riot in 2021 that disrupted Joe Biden’s presential election victory.

Greene filed a lawsuit Friday asking a judge to declare the law unconstitutional and prohibit state officials from enforcing it.

8. Who is suing her under the 14th?

I hate to say it but if it just private citizens suing her under the 14th, it is going to get tossed for lack of standing. Same reason why the emoluments cases against drumpf got tossed. She’s going to have to be criminally charged and convicted of insurrection to be disqualified.

9. And if she succeeds, white privilege gets codified.

There has to be a minimal requirement for being a political candidate in the US. And it just seems to me, that supporting an insurrection in the Capitol should be a deal breaker. Otherwise, the oath they take means nothing.
