7. I remember when President Clinton was referred to as our "first black President"...

because he was so well-liked and able to relate to the black community. Well now he's been unseated in that title, both literally (by President Obama) and figuratively (by President Biden).

I do believe that President Clinton had a town or street or something named after him in Africa though.

So the VP doesn't work for the President...it's a small pet peeve when I hear someone say the President is the VP's "boss".

Imagine if Obama nominated the black nominees that Biden did. The far right, tea party, and racists would have so much more ammunition to go against a black president nominating qualified black candidates. Oh he's hiring own! they would cry. Very thankful for Biden and for him doing what he's doing.

He can do things that Obama couldn't because of the political implications. They jumped all over Obama for every little thing. That combined with the constant obstruction, it is amazing he was able to accomplish anything.
