I used to run into them on the Yahoo message boards. In 2015 and 2016 they were always posting RWNJ messages that looked suspiciously similar. Some even had the exact same wording on different threads, for unrelated subject matter. It wasn't even well-written, with typo's etc. I came to the conclusion that these people weren't proficient in English, and just copy/pasted stuff from a central archive of GOP rubbish. If you replied to their nonsense and called them on it, they NEVER responded. That's when I knew that Yahoo was overrun with Russians and/or eastern Europeans who were trying to get Chump elected.

I wasn't on Facebook then, but I did go on it later and saw something similar. It wasn't that Russians were posting on Facebook so much as Americans with low critical-thinking-skills who were reposting RW junk that had been provided by outsiders (Russians). Once somebody shares something (no matter how crazy) it goes to all their "friends" and everyone who hasn't blocked them. Facebook was the major enabler and I'm sure they were well-paid by the FSB to let them continue doing it.

just look at the underlying presumptions in the "ideological subversion" tactics, apparently so successful with Conservatives that they MUST agree on every point --that the so-called "decline" of the "West" is caused by social and moral failure. That it's not just about money and power and avarice and lust and corruption, regardless of the ideological bent of the participants.

The "moral failures" of the Left are seen as the means of subversion in this view. But the objective, we are supposed to believe, is to subvert the Right, which is what we all are expressing here. Yet the Right has never needed such subversion, as they already agree with every single point.

In other words, this entire "artifact" is simply another "tactic" to undermine the more egalitarian Left. Those ancient amassed treasures that built empires and enslaved half the world never really fell. They just transmogrified into worse --the twin ideologies of Capitalism vs. Communism. Both were a ruse.

The "thimble on the table" has always been in full view: Democracy is what they most fear.

...he basically excoriates the left as this writer also does.

While I don't doubt the basic thrust of the underlying message that Russian intelligence has used these techniques to undermine western societies, his conclusion that leftist ideologies are at the core of this degradation is completely wrong.

In fact, I would submit that Bezmenov cleverly practices the subterfuge he preaches. We are being degraded, but not by the "radical left" but by the "radical right."

The party that practices situational ethics, gaslighting, "fake news", propaganda, fifth column tactics is the CON party.

The author states:

"Consider the weapons in the globalist armory of demoralization today: Critical Race Theory, Islam, cancel culture, “wokeness,” black crime, opioid addiction, transgenderism, Black Lives Matter, the legacy of “slavery,” unfettered immigration, Antifa, COVID, climate change. Each of these is a separate front in the Kulturkampf the Left is winning almost without resistance."

The author is excoriating "the left", or the caricature of "the left" by clowns like DeSantis, Cruz, Drumpf, and Carlson. According to the author it is "the left" that is at fault for the demoralization.

In other words, this article tries to cure your lung cancer by telling you to smoke more non filtered cigarettes or lose weight by eating nothing but bacon.

And posters here are celebrating this crap?
