Finland expels two Russian diplomats

Finland has expelled two staff members of the Russian embassy in condemnation of Russia's aggressions against Ukraine. A third member has also been denied avisa extension.
The matter was decided at a meeting between President Sauli Niinistö and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy on 8 April.
"The measure is in line with actions taken by other Member States of the European Union. Expulsions are a matter of national decision-making, and each member state acts according to its own assessment of the situation," reads astatement (siirryt toiseen palveluun) issued by the Finnish government.
Numerous Kremlin representatives have recently been expelled from the EU bloc, inducing Denmark and Sweden, following the discovery of mass civilian graves in the Ukrainian town of Bucha.
