Too much Ukraine War news for me... need a break.
Dealt with anxiety issues to varying degrees much of my life and now I'm feeling "edgy"...
At one time dealt with a decade long benzo-fog situation...
My sister in law just had a baby... and is pregnant again. Then I see the stroller at the Train Station massacre today.
Yeah, need some time off. Take care everyone. Be safe and healthy.

(11,611 posts)I've dealt with anxiety most of my life too so I understand. I can't watch too much of the coverage either. It breaks my heart.

I don't want to link it, because it's too upsetting.
I'm sorry about your anxiety, I get bouts of it once in awhile, so I understand.
Here's some songs for you. They always make me feel good...

(11,611 posts)I mean that. I'm taking medication for it. It helps most of the time. Thanks for the clips.

Come back when you can. I see it as working in shifts to preserve our energy and sanity.

(32,640 posts)I've had to limit my "TV time" because having it on all day long is just to upsetting and nerve-wracking. One hour at night is the news that I get, and on most days that's enough.
Perhaps a movie or a good book instead? Put on some music, or if it's a nice day go out for a walk.
You'll figure it out, I'm sure.

It's really easy to fall into a pattern of doom scrolling in times like these. Acknowledging that it's beginning to get to you is a sign you're going to be just fine, but do take all the time away from the horrors taking place you need.
Personally, I think we've all been hit hard since November of 2015, and sadly the hits just kept on coming and growing. I've had to take many a break since then for my own mental health. There's no shame in that. I wish you a peaceful break. Do what recharges your soul, whatever that may be.
See you around!
