I am almost afraid to ask,

but does anyone understand why those two faux Democratic senators voted with their colleagues to confirm soon to be Justice Jackson??? They do not have much of a record of being on the correct side of most votes. I thought if the three GOP senators did vote as they said (and they did), it would be 51-49.

By voting to confirm Judge Jackson, they can claim (implausibly) that they're Democrats.

Regardless, I'm glad that they voted the way they did. She deserves to be on the Court and our country will be better for her service.

Still, Democrats could do much better.

Manchin's ties to the coal industry are disgusting and antiquated.

Sinema's a cipher. She's also fairly stupid.

My opinions, of course.

It's essential that Democrats retain control of the Senate. With every state getting two senators, that's a lot of red states. It's an uphill battle.

I yearn for progressive Democrats. I know they can't win in WV and AZ let alone in redder states.

Just the fact that Sinema got in posing as an environmental Democrat is testament to that.

AZ Dems are pissed and Ruben Gallego is likely to primary her.

W VA is another matter though, not much chance there.

help millions, not to mention help us Dems keep our majorities in Congress in the mid-terms.

They've both endangered that greatly, and if we lose the majorities, nothing of consequence will be accomplished in Joe Biden's last two years of this term in office.

They've done immeasurable damage.

It's not helpful for Democrats to promote the false belief that Manchin and Sinema "never" support any of the Democratic positions. That misinformation leads to hopelessness and despair.

We need to elect more Democratic senators (and representatives) so that we have a safe majority. Promoting the idea that "we can't get anything done" plays into Republican campaign slogans.

in replacing Manchin W VA, but we have a good shot in primarying and beating Sinema in AZ though. Dems are pissed there at Sinema's bait-and-switch act. She campaigned as an environmental Dem but on the big Biden/Dem bills critical for us to keep our majorities, she went the other way.

nominees.

They also give us the majority at this time, and that is why they are essential until we have at least a two seat majority in the Senate

Also you should look at their voting record
