(21,345 posts)looks to be a hit man after Fetterman. After he does his job in the primary he will go back to running for Congress. Looks like the plan from establishment Dems is to siphon Philly votes away from Fetterman all to elect someone who voted against Speaker Pelosi twice.

(68,576 posts)And that is the best case scenario...I don't think Connor Lamb win a General...just Katie McGinty lost... the same kind of candidate. But don't worry. I still think regardless of the attacks. Fetterman will win and here is the thing, those two have ruined their chances with me if they ever wanted to say run for president...would never vote for either of them in a primary.

(42,331 posts)It wasn't an active shooter situation.

(68,576 posts)who by the way is now in prison for among other serious crimes kidnapping for ransom. He sent a letter from prison about how Fetterman has his support. Also, Fetterman has done a great deal as Lieutenant governor to get people held for years in prison with excessive sentences and in some cases ...maybe innocent. What has Connor Lamb done for Justice?
Connor Lamb voted in the House to fund Trump's wall and to keep Trump's tax cuts. He also voted against Nancy Pelosi and voted for Joe Kennedy in the end. He makes noises like he is for the legalization of Marijuana now but has voted against it while in the House. This is not someone who will likely win a general and if he does. I expect him to vote with Manchin and Sinema. I live in Ohio now...used to live in PA...so I can't vote. But I am close to PA and will work the primary for Fetterman. We need to take that seat. I don't think Connor Lamb can do it...he is like all the other candidates that lost the general while I lived in Pennsylvania.

"Lamb also was unafraid to note that he had sided against fellow Democrats on this and other issues, prompting Kenyatta to note that Lamb voted with former President Trump 70% of the time in his first term. Kenyatta pointed to particularly fraught votes, like funding Trumps border wall. (That 70% percentage dropped dramatically in Lambs second term.)"
I wonder why the voting record changed? Of course he knew then he would run for the Senate. Who knows?

(42,331 posts)The person he chased down did not have a gun at the time, nor had he committed the crime you note. Was Fetterman psychic? Did he just decide that the guy looked like a criminal?
I asked one question. You did not provide an answer. It was not an active shooter situation in any way.
Demsrule86
(68,576 posts)I probably would have done the same. And consider the police were called and it was peacefully settled...of course this guy now sits in prison for serious crimes as I noted above. We heard gunshots where I live near Cleveland...I live in the city...my neighbor came out with a gun and checked the neighborhood looking for the guy who fired the gun. Had he found him, He would have held him for the police. My neighbor is an ex-Army Ranger and is a Black man.
This is all Connor Lamb has. He is a weak candidate and will not win a general IMHO. He has now called Fetterman a racist which is ridiculous. I still think Fetterman wins and I hope Lamb pays a price if he damages the eventual candidate and we lose yet again. This seat likey will make the difference whether we keep the Senate or not. Warnock is struggling in Georgia. Connor Lamb is about the same as those who ran before him like Katie McGinty.

(1,609 posts)White supremist come out of the wood work posting previous crimes or mugshots that have nothing to do with the incident. You are aware of that, aren't you?
mcar
(42,331 posts)And, even if the person had committed a crime, Fetterman would have had no way of knowing that.
Also, Fetterman supporters keep citing polls. Polls don't mean anything. Lamb supporters are suppose to stop fighting because of polls? Democrats know primaries are tough but no on should stop fighting as hard as they can until the end. That's the way it has been for all primaries so why should Fetterman be treated with kid gloves?
Demsrule86
(68,576 posts)I have no idea if he had ever been in trouble before the incident or not. I think it is relevant. The bottom line is Fetterman is a progressive and he can win PA...we can likely end the filibuster if we get another seat and Warnock holds on. I tell you, check out Lamb's votes in his first year before he was running for Senate. They may surprise you.
BlueLucy
(1,609 posts)The only thing that is relevant is the facts of that incident and only that incident. You should know better. Also, I don't think Fetterman could win a general. We need as many seats as we can get and that's why Lamb and supporters need to fight hard to win this primary.

(83,770 posts)It is being said he is a bad dangerous black man before his crimes, and deserved to have a shotgun pointed in his face. Bad, bad man. In the same breath I have seen posts (twitter) and posted here saying the victim, now in jail wrote letters saying what a great guy Fetterman is and he would vote/ support him.
So we have a dangerous criminal that everyone fears and at the same time those same people here lauding him for a letter of support.
You can't have it both ways.
Polybius
(15,417 posts)That is relevant.
mcar
(42,331 posts)Again, is Fetterman psychic? Is this like "Minority Report" where it's OK to target people who may commit crimes in the future.
This is not about Lamb's votes - this is about Fetterman lying about a serious incident. He could have and should have gotten on top of this before he ran for Senate.

(68,576 posts)Gunfire in your neighborhood in all cases means someone is shooting a gun...hence gun fire. And Braddock had a very high crime rate then. Fetterman has a great deal of success in bringing Braddock...lowering the crime rate, bringing jobs and actually lives there.

Braddock a town that is about 70% Black reelected Fetterman 10 months later because they know this incident had nothing to do with race, Katz said.

(7,867 posts)...but after watching Lamb and other competitors resort to these pathetic attacks, I'm guessing the polls were an accurate portrayal of the race as it currently stands.
And, yet again, Lamb shows a fire attacking other Democrats that I wish he would show in going after Republicans; if he did, maybe he wouldn't be down so badly in the polls right now.
