A spokesman for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, said that this was the subject of unannounced talks between the head of the British government and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on April 9 in Kyiv.

"The Prime Minister went to Ukraine to meet personally with President Zelensky in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. They will discuss long-term support for Ukraine from the United Kingdom, and the Prime Minister will present a new package of financial and military assistance, " said a spokesman for Downing Street.

Earlier, announcing the visit, Deputy Chief of Staff Andriy Sibiga called Britain "a leader in Ukraine's defense support, a leader in the anti-war coalition, a leader in sanctions against the Russian aggressor."
