MSNBCs Glenn Kirschner Says Ivanka Incriminated Donald Trump To Jan. 6 Committee And I Can Tell You How
From the article, the quote from Kirschner:
MR. KIRSCHNER: They sat down, they testified, and what they did is they incriminated Donald Trump, and I can tell you how.
MS. MILLER: Yeah, OK.
MR. KIRSCHNER: Heres how. Keith Kellogg. OK, that was. Vice President Mike Pences national security adviser said in real time as the attack on the Capitol was in progress. We all went into the Oval Office and told him, told the president, please call off the attack, condemn the violence. Stop your dogs. Right? Paraphrasing that last one. and Donald Trump refused, according to Keith Kellogg, a retired military general and Pences national security adviser. Hes not as bad as many of the others that were in Trumps orbit. And then, he said, I tried and failed. Mark Meadows tried and failed. Kayleigh McEnany tried and failed. Ivanka tried and failed, so we sent her back into the Oval Office a second time because she can be pretty tenacious, and she couldnt get her father to stop the attack on the Capitol. Steph, that is a president in a very real way, waging war against the United States. Even his own daughter couldnt stop him. That is deeply incriminating information. Presumably, its been provided by Ivanka under oath to the J-6 committee, and if I were prosecuting the case, she would be one of the very early witnesses I called because let Donald Trumps attorney try to say Ivanka? Yeah, she was the coffee girl, barely knew her, never met her. Shes incredible. Let them try that. You know, that dog wont hunt

He's the only president we've ever had who has admitted that he chooses his words by calculating against "whatever isn't boring".
Free press, free speech. Man, we've gotta' rethink some basic definitions of "American" concepts regarding social interactions. Being on the cutting edge of anything means we're talking about where the microscopic bits of waste naturally collect, you know.

Is it possible Jared already spilled the beans and Ivanka corroborated his testimony? "Daddy, I had to tell them the truth because your no-good son-in-law already dropped a dime on you". That would give her plausible deniability. It would put Jared in the deep freeze forever,, but I don't think he really cares..
Jared is familiar with family skullduggery, and I'm sure he sees Donny-boy for the piece of shit he is.

(22,037 posts)An ace requires some of the greatest luck ever. The shot is generally somewhere between 125-250 yards and the ball has to find a hole only a little bigger than the ball itself. It's the ultimate freak shot!
I've played golf for 30 years with thousands of rounds in many parts of the world. In all that play, I got one in a most ridiculous fashion. We were playing in late March hitting into a 20 mph wind with a setting sun in our eyes. My tee shot was a line drive that I was certain hit the green and shot off the back where I went to search. One of my playing partners who was standing by the hole yelled to me, "Hey, jackass! You're buying!" It was a stupid shot that had very little skill involved. My point is that I've played thousands of par-3s, as have a great many golfers, without the ball finding the hole. As I wrote, it's the ultimate weirdo on the golf course.
Once before he was president, I played at the Trump course in NY's The Bronx. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus and by concession to the Trump Organization. It's a lovely course albeit somewhat gimmicky. The views of NYC and the Upper East River bridges are spectacular. On a par-3 hole, there was a bronze plaque stating that on the "Inaugural Round," Trump scored a one on the hole. It was quite obnoxious and ostentatious. Years later I learned that when Trump played the course, there were a dozen holes cut in many of the greens because the groundskeepers wanted to learn how balls would roll on the brand new greens. Trump's tee shot went into one of those holes, not the one with the flag stick.
As always, Trump lies.
SergeStorms
(19,201 posts)I used to work summers at our local golf course. I was junior club champion at 15. Like you, I've played thousands of rounds in just about every state in the U.S.
I've never had a hole in one. Not once. I've come close dozens of times, but I've never had one go in the hole. I've had hundreds of eagles, two albatrosses, but never a hole in one.
I used to play in a league in the 80s with a bunch of duffers I worked with at the time, and this one guy had three aces in his life. This guy was horrible. I don't think he ever broke 90, but he had three aces, all on the same course, all on the same hole. It was a 178 yd. par 3, and he used a driver every time. I'd be hitting a 6 or 7 iron, depending on the wind, and he'd hit a driver and put it in the hole. The ball never got over 30 feet off the ground, and went 150 in the air and rolled the rest of the way in. I witnessed one of them, and I believe the guys he played with about the other two. Don Wagner was his name. Dead now.
So yeah, it's all luck for the average golfer. The pros are a different story. Those guys are so good they can repeatedly hit a ball from 150 yds. into a 10 foot circle.
I don't play anymore. A spinal fusion took care of that. I still miss it though, even dream about it at night. But there's two types of golfers, right? Those with back problems, and those who are going to have back problems. All that torque on the spine isn't natural.
Keep it in the short grass.

(10,678 posts)I started playing when I was a teenager and had to give it up in my mid fifties because of my back. Anyway I never got a hole in one but got close many times, I remember four times particularly where I came within inches and one of them was a grounder that rolled right through a trap on a downhill par 3. I miss the game but now I spend time with my grandsons playing baseball and football and nothing beats that.

"1 p.m.
An initial wave of protesters storms the outer police barrier around the Capitol.
"1:30 p.m.
On the steps on the backside of the Capitol, protesters overcome the police, who run back into the building. Protesters watching from the sidelines cheer as a mob breaks through the final police barricades.
Shortly after 2 p.m.
Protesters break windows and climb into the Capitol. They open doors for others to follow.
"2:24 p.m.
Trump tweets: "Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution."
He continues with more baseless claims about a fraudulent election. [This is one area where trump is vulnerable for his actions during Jan 6th.]
"2:38 p.m.
Trump tweets again, calling for support of the Capitol Police and law enforcement. He urges people to "stay peaceful." But at that moment, inside the Capitol, the riot continues to unfold.
"3:36 p.m.
More than two hours after protesters first breached the Capitol grounds, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweets that Trump has ordered the National Guard to the Capitol.
"4:17 p.m.
Trump does not go on TV. Instead, he tweets a video talking to his supporters inside the Capitol. "I know your pain. I know your hurt," he begins. "We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You've seen the way others are treated. ... I know how you feel, but go home, and go home in peace."

trump was, and is, clearly incompetent to hold office. But, in court, Kirschner would lose and trump would win again. To convict trump, we are still left with having to show trump directly conspired with those that stormed the Capitol. And no one has come close to providing evidence of that.
Even though I am sure trump would have conspired with Proud Boyz and rube militias if given a chance, that wouldn't hold up in court either.

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trumps longtime personal attorney, has joined a fairly short list of people whove been charged with lying to Congress a club so exclusive in part because the crime can be very difficult to prove.
That's despite the fact that it isn't just a federal crime to lie to Congress while under oath considered the general perjury" statute its also illegal to make false statements to Congress even if you're not under oath.
