Dr. Mehmet Oz has won the race for Donald Trump’s coveted endorsement in Pennsylvania’s Senate GOP primary.

In a key contest in the battle for the Senate majority this fall, the former president announced Saturday that he is backing Oz, praising the celebrity television doctor in a statement as “Pro-Life, very strong on Crime, the Border, Election Fraud, our Great Military, and our Vets, Tax Cuts, and will always fight for and support our under-siege Second Amendment.”

POLITICO previously reported that he had been leaning toward Oz, according to three people familiar with Trump’s thinking, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

Trump recently met with both Oz and former hedge fund CEO David McCormick in Mar-a-Lago and talked with multiple people about the GOP primary.

“I saw the PAC ad that is currently running in Pennsylvania. It is wrong and it is disgusting. And if Conor Lamb wants to stand up as a Democrat, then he needs to disavow that ad today,” Warren said in an interview on Wednesday.

He was a skilled heart surgeon & a professor at the Columbia University medical school.

I guess the quick buck selling snake oil was just too hard to pass up.

Oz is a Muslim who refuses to give up his Turkish (dual) citizenship.

He cannot qualify for some top security clearances so he could not fully serve his supposed constituents.

https://rollcall.com/2021/01/12/when-it-comes-to-security-clearances-rules-for-others-dont-apply-to-congress/

Unlike officials at federal agencies, lawmakers do not have security clearances per se, experts said. Rather, members of Congress are by tradition deemed inherently trustworthy by dint of the offices they hold, although they are subject to punishment under the House ethics code for revealing classified information. The maximum penalty, which would require a two-thirds vote by the House, is expulsion.

https://news.clearancejobs.com/2012/05/16/do-members-of-congress-have-security-clearances/

With increased congressional oversight of sensitive national security issues – and more scrutiny on both the issues and need for access – the congressional security clearance procedures have come under scrutiny in recent years. An August 2011 CRS report proposed mandating security clearances for all members of congress. Despite several proposals and wrangling on both the legislative and executive sides (due to accusations of leaked information coming from both branches), requirements for members of congress or elected officials to obtain security clearances have never been passed.[/div

All the questions to either Fetterman or Lamb will be about policy positions; all the questions to America's Quack will be about his fucked-up medical stances. "Dr. Oz, do you still support the use of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of COVID-19 after the very long trail of bodies it's left behind it? What about green coffee extract and raspberry ketones?"
