I would hesitate to say the words "I am doing my own research" by reading them daily.

I am just reading their take on each day(s) events in the war...

And the comments add a LOT of info...

it's not very practical to move concrete and rock hundreds of miles. the invading forces would likely be counting on acquiring those resources locally after a successful initial invasion. the effort and resources to deploy a temporary floating bridge vs. building a semi permanent bridge as shown are orders of magnitude different.
