Assuming Biden only wants to serve one term, likely Harris but would consider Pete B. or another to be open-minded.

I'm a big fan of continuity, especially from the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" point of view.

I live in Northern West Virginia (a.k.a. southwestern Pennsylvania), and the MAGAbillies here don't respect her for the usual reasons and probably never will. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't try to win what passes for hearts and minds of the Orcs around me, because what she says here needs to resonate with voters elsewhere.

I think that if Harris wants to win in the Rust Belt states, she must campaign in the lion's den, visit the towns that are not in the liberal bubbles, and layeth the smack down on why Republicans are weak and absolutely wrong on everything. "MAGAbilly candidate couldn't have gotten the job done like I did. Hell, no. He would've instead found a way to benefit himself, probably Vladimir Putin, too, and continued screwing you in the process. Why? Because he and the rest of the GOP think you're stupid. Well, you're not; you're smart. And here is what voters like you know and understand [proceeds to list sound bytes that rip opponent apart, along with her campaign promises]..."

Because I really can't even imagine what this country is going to look like even two and a half years from now.

Definitely a Democrat, that is certain.

If I didn't have to click on this thread to finish reading the subject line, I would have just trashed it outright. I'm getting damn sick of these types of threads. Biden isn't even to the halfway point of his first term, and there's already talk about his replacement? WTF? If we don't keep the House and Senate, it is all over anyway. There won't be another Democratic president, Kamala or otherwise.

running.

"I would be open to a woman, but not THAT woman."

It happens every time, then a white man is suggested instead of, well, any woman.

I know that we won't have a woman as president, at least not in my lifetime, because beneath it all, misogyny is more powerful than even racism.
