Marta and I are watching Bye Bye Birdie tonight. Anybody else remember the movie?
Here is a review of our Blu-Ray: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Bye-Bye-Birdie-Blu-ray/44894/#Review
Bobby's death makes this a current event, not entertainment.

(28,348 posts)It has a great cast, too.
Did you watch this on Netflix, or where? I love old movies, even dating back to the 30's ... great movies from that era.

(36,449 posts)Rosie (Janet Leigh) slips one of Albert's (Dick Van Dyke) pills into the orchestra conductor's milk, which speeds up the ballet, amusing the audience, offending the Russians and placing Conrad back on the show to sing "One Last Kiss".
At the very end, Bobby Rydell makes it up to the stage and boops Conrad right in the nose!

(102,320 posts)coincidentally, CBS Sunday Morning did a piece with Ann Margaret a week ago. (She looks amazingly good for her age and still rides her Harley).
But, outside of that scene, I've never seen it.
