Russia warns Sweden and Finland against Nato bid.......again

Russia has warned Finland and Sweden against joining Nato, arguing the move would not bring stability to Europe.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that "the alliance remains a tool geared towards confrontation".

It comes as US defence officials said Moscow's invasion of Ukraine has been a "massive strategic blunder" which will likely bring Nato enlargement.

US officials expect the Nordic neighbours to bid for membership of the alliance, potentially as early as June.

He's bogged down trying to hold what he can in Ukraine. Does his military strategists have plans for "special military actions" on two -or three fronts? Japan wants the Kirils back, and are starting to make noises about them, especially after the Russians have started sending Ukrainian "refugees" there.

Finland and Sweden are justified in breaking "their promise not to join NATO". All they have to do is point out Putin already broke long-standing accords to invade Ukraine.

It is to safeguard the freedom and security of all its members. Finland and Sweden wouldn't even be thinking about joining NATO if those fuckers were invading their other neighbors. All these threats are just pushing them right into NATO's arms at light speed.

Putin seems to have seriously miscalculated. Because of his invasion of Ukraine, NATO is more united than it has been in decades, military spending is up across Europe, and the Russian military has proven itself to be not nearly so strong as previously thought.
