There are always liberals/leftists/progressives who advocate for European/Australian kind of laws which would extremely limit personal gun ownership up to and including confiscation. The reality though, a bit like the cartoon above, is that such a thing is probably politically unreasonable in the US. While we may ultimately achieve a much more severe level of gun ownership requirements., ultimately if one is capable of demonstrating a reasonable level of gun ownership, one will be able to own as many weapons as they want. One really bad action though, and it gets all taken away.
