Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) just shut down Mitch McConnell at a press conference

NEW: Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) just shut down Mitch McConnell at a press conference:

“There was $7 trillion in new debt and 2.6 million jobs lost during Trump. But when McConnell comes to this podium, all he does is complain that we’re not cleaning up their mess fast enough.”

The only other President with more deficit spending was Obama, but Obama was over 8 years, while Trump nearly caught up to him in his 4.

Obama came in at the beginning of Bush's recession, and also had to deal with Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy.

Biden is in a similar situation, as most Democratic Presidents are these days: cleaning up the mess left by the previous Republican's Administration.

"Seven trillion dollars in new debt? Two and a half million jobs lost? Whaaaaa?" It just makes their little heads hurt to consider the facts and the legacy of the former guy's administration. It's a far more pleasing narrative to talk about Democrats in disarray. As familiar and comfortable as a pair of cowboy boots, sprung in all the right places.

The mass media, and Republican Senate, he would have been out of office in the first two months.

80+% of all media in the U.S. is owned by Republicans.............

The largest influence, by far, has been Murdochs Fox News. Resulting in the destruction of America that we have witnessed.
Second would be the RW AM talk radio stations across the entire Rural portion of America......

Tax-free.

Millions of Americans are happy to see insurrectionists chanting, "Hang Mike Pence, " and "Lock her up," intent on siezing the role of judge, jury, and executioner in support of a fascist pig who's never even read the Constitution & all the while calling themselves "patriots."

All the while the "slow coup" is underway & no one seems to know how to stop it.

Hit me again!

May this be the start of some well planned Democratic strategy to bark like a dog, nip at their heels, and bite like a crocodile. Her take was so succinct, well thought out, and oozed with our exasperation as a party.

That is the perfect and cuttingly true response, and it needs amplified by every Democrat each time a seditionist/Putin apologist aka Rethuglican regurgitates their propaganda.

It's implied to be NY. Whatever state it is, it has both Metropolis and Gotham City.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/a-guide-fictional-cities-dc-861874/

It’s no secret that both Superman and Batman’s cities are based upon the same real-world location: New York City. (Which isn’t to say that there isn’t also a New York City in the DC Universe; that’s where the New Teen Titans were based for quite some time.) It’s been suggested that Metropolis is an idealized version of New York at its best, while Gotham shows an exaggerated take on the city its worst. This might explain why the two have generally been portrayed as being relatively close to each other — and placed traditionally in New Jersey, of all places. In the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the two cities will officially be neighbors, likened by director Zack Snyder to San Francisco and Oakland — except, of course, on the east coast.

Now there's a rabbit hole I can't afford to go down. (The DC Universe.) Not before I finish my taxes, at least...
