https://www.thedailybeast.com/russian-state-tv-goes-ballistic-over-ukraine-shock-video-showing-fake-killing-of-soldier?via=twitter_pageInstead, state media is aghast over a recently released shock video, in which an actress threatens Russian invaders with certain death. Though they appear unperturbed by the scenes of carnage out of Bucha or Mariupol, or the bombings of peaceful Ukrainian cities, the Kremlins propagandists were triggered by a fictitious portrayal of revenge against an actor playing the part of a Russian occupant.
In the video, the actressdressed in an embroidered gown and a national Ukrainian headdressthreatens invading troops with retaliation for the deaths of war victims in Bucha, Irpin, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Mariupol. She predicts they would never return home to Russia, and makes a hand motion pretending to slit the throat of a male actor with a sickle, off-camera.
The clip sent shockwaves throughout Russian airwaves.

(4,384 posts)I think I'm finally really over it; from trump and his bloody republicans to desantis and abbott to the lying and hate campaigns, I'm over it. I am tired of Good being overrun by Evil. I'm seriously tired of it.

(10,730 posts)quite a long time ago. I'm with you, sick to death of evil trampling everything and getting away with it. Ukranians (and others) deserve vengeance.

(13,162 posts)It's clear this is about revenge against an invader.
Waging was to capture "hearts and minds" very rarely works. There's always going to be massive collateral damage in the best of conflicts, and people are not going to take the needless deaths of loved ones easily.
In the back of my mind, I still fear the long term repercussions of hundreds of wedding and birthday parties, family trips to market, and other normal daily activities that were interrupted by "mistaken" shellings and drone strikes.
War is Hell. And those who decide to start a war deserve to rot in Hell.
