What do you think he meant by once? What kind of bomb do you only use once because one is all you need?

(61,707 posts)The Russians have been bombing Kiev, including train stations, for weeks. They're urging something new.

(32,731 posts)Just poison putin already. The US has assassinated leaders for much less. One more time won't change anything.

(5,502 posts)If we knew who would take over it might be different. But at this point it would be the first one out of the clown car. That might not be a smart risk to take.

(92 posts)So the chances are good the killing would continue. Until the Russian people decide on a change in government nothing will get better.

(5,502 posts)And they hoped for the best. Or were they really that wrong? If they are that incompetent, it could be bad if they become in charge. Of course many of them have been replaced.
As I said before, Russia has been run into the ground under Putin's leadership.

(4,363 posts)about the Moskva seem to be, no they are, mentally challenged or deficient. Just start with the fact that it is the Russians who started this war and then list the terror and torture and genocide they have or are inflicting upon Ukrainians. The list goes on. The Russians wanted this war. They got it with all the consequences involved.
That said, Malcolm is correct. We should be concerned and cautious, but Russians or any other people should never be allowed to coerce the world to dominate it.

(61,707 posts)Interviews with supposed Russians on the street indicate widespread belief that Ukraine was a threat to Russia. It's crazy but they believe it, just like the QAnon nuts in the US believe that liberals are a threat to their freedom.
Decades of propaganda, all over the world.

(424 posts)Issue is twofold.
They embarrassed the Russians
The big untold story seems to be the kleptocracy is about to be exposed. Spending billions on war apparatus, but due to multi layer skimming, delivering a bad product.

(42,770 posts)Recommendations to STOP Putin's entry to begin with! No fly zone. Arm it up. It was very specific and I don't remember it all.
You can make fun of it all you want - if we had followed that advice, thousands and thousands of people would still be alive. I wonder how many in government feel the same way.

(8,543 posts)Why would an accident aboard a ship be cause for bombing anything?
It previously said that a detonation of ammunition triggered a fire and forced the crew to evacuate.

(12,792 posts)maybe they can ultimately pose a counter-threat, and it won't just be the ship this time.

Bomb them once means bomb ourselves, too. Nuclear radiation doesnt respect the Ukraine/Russia border.

Do they respond or just let Putin continue to nuke whatever he wants, as long as it's not a NATO country?

(12,286 posts)The UK and US have told Russia that if thy use chemical or nuclear weapons then we will intervene with nuclear arms and end them. Of course they could end the planet.
But if you have watched Biden when asked about it he has given indication that unconventional arms is the line in the sand.
