Trump Ally Tries To Remove Parkland Fathers From Gun Violence Hearing

https://www.npr.org/2019/02/06/692046272/trump-ally-tries-to-remove-parkland-fathers-from-gun-violence-hearing

A longtime Trump ally pushed to have two fathers of Parkland victims tossed out of a congressional hearing on gun violence — a reflection of the vociferous nature of the debate Democrats have made a priority in the new Congress.

I love Fred- his pain reached me- nice to see some empathy.
The worst part of suspected trafficker Gaetz was that he is a Florida Rep and that horrific slaughter was in his state.

I’d slap that fool inside out.

The thing is, Biden has been there, losing his wife and daughter in a car accident. While not quite the same as having your child murdered by a gunman, he knows exactly what it is like to lose someone so suddenly.

It's not a super power. When a spouse or child die while you're still relatively young, you get a real perspective on grief and a long time to think about it.

I think it could easily make one very bitter, but President Biden was able to rise to the occasion. Not once, but twice. We are so fortunate that fate has kept such a man to lead America at this very tumultuous time.

You're supposed to not discuss them, not bring them up and be over it. People in general don't want to hear about it. That may be his super power.

This is how a president should be. Compassionate.

We have to do everything we can to make sure he is re-elected. I can't fathom going backwards to that monster in 2024.
