Happy Easter

Do you ever wake early on Easter? And just sit with a cup of coffee, and watch the sun come up? The world seems peaceful, the birds sing quieter, the city is peaceful too. I have been in many different cities in my life, Easter morning always feels different and special. There is a calmness at sunrise on Easter morning. The peace and comfort seems different , and more special, this morning.

to you, too, Kozar. The sun will be rising shortly and the birds are more quiet this morning.

Something special on this day. I don’t talk to an entity. I do put my head down on Easter morn. Close my eyes and say. “Thank you”

clean up around the church grounds. The kids' Easter egg hunt happens in a few hours, and there was the usual detritus to sweep away from the areas.

At least it was a battery-powered leaf blower, so it wasn't TOO loud.

Happy, and quiet, Easter to you.

of past Easter Sunday family and friend gatherings.
I baked traditional goodies for today’s family meal yesterday, my mom and grandmother standing by my side in spirit, reminding me of the recipes.
This year we have a brand new family member, one week old, joining our celebration. Maybe I’ll be around a while to teach this great-grandbaby girl child some of the recipes.
Sun is shining, peach tree has beautiful pink blossoms.
I guess I’ll go and get some of that coffee before you drink it all up.

Happy Easter!

resident so I have a lot to be thankful for. They all live at home. But at what point is Easter egg hunts for adult children TOO MUCH! My wife won’t let them grow up. I did my part for over 30 years. Enough with my doctor son running around the house looking for eggs. They do it for my wife, but am I really a bad guy for saying ENOUGH! She works her ass off as do I. I hate holidays. It’s too much. Oh, and my son and daughter leave for Italy for 2 weeks this afternoon. I wish I could go to Italy but can’t find the time too busy cleaning and hiding Easter eggs.

14. I had meant to dye some eggs, but

my grocery store had expensive kits, not dyes. I wanted to do it to mark the day. To continue TRADITION, but it wasn't meant to be.

I wanted to go to the early or middle church service, but my husband took off doing his hobby early today, and I couldn't leave, not with a MIL with Alzheimers and a severely autistic grown son.

My spouse and I are too busy just trying to keep it all together. I'm having a rough time not being able to celebrate special days due to being homebound.
