Zero emission electric compact utility tractor

This electric compact tractor is based on the John Deere 1R Series. A key feature of this machine is its high PTO power, allowing more than 10,000 m² of lawn to be mowed with one battery charge lasting 4.5 hours. In addition to high performance, customers benefit from very low maintenance costs. Potential applications are mainly where low noise levels and emission-free operation are required.

That's 2.5 acres.

Almost 2 football fields.

Yard space of that size should be devoted to pollinator habitat, prairie restoration, vegetables, native trees, fruit trees, etc.

I have a 2 acre hobby farm, so I'm totally down with an EV tractor. Just promote all the other work it can do other than mowing.

He bought a 5-acre lot, and mowed it all. Every weekend he'd piss away hours riding his mower, applying fertilizer, spraying, etc. And then he'd spend all week at work bitching about how he didn't have time to spend with friends, family, hobbies.

I just couldn't understand that mindset.

No chemlawn for the dogs or kids.

We have clover, dandelions, moss, ferns, speckled trout (shady weed), thistle, oh yeah a little grass. Strangely most when in season is edible. (Except for the dog pee.) I've become quite the urban naturalist over the years. My weeds mow nicely. When in flower I delay mowing for the butterflies and bees.

Some of neighbors, the chemlawn addicts, many of their pets have subcomed to cancer, some of them have had boughts of cancer.

Silent Spring has been ignored.

I've got so much mulch and compost to move around, and all I've got is a tow-behind trailer and shovels. At least I'm getting my beach bod workouts in 🤣

And 3-point hitch for bush hogging and auger. It was stolen. Have to do all that by hand now, hence, torn rotator cuff and blown out elbows.

It was a thing of beauty.
