Let us not forget President Biden won 51.3 % of the popular vote which is pretty darned good

John Kennedy only won 49% Bill Clinton 43% his first time round (there were 3 parties running that time) Jimmy Carter 50.8 % Barack Obama 51.06% his second time around...Its an interesting read if you want to look at vote totals for all the Presidents

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_popular_vote_margin

The whole point of this is people will back Biden quicker than most think. I remember some telling me I was basically out of my mind to support Joe Biden.. he's too old.. too run of the mill.. well he knows how to play the political game like none other.. just ask his opponents whom he left in the dust..

I am not knocking other people.. just Biden has the stuff we need now. He got us through the worst of the pandemic and cut our child poverty rate by 50%.. that alone should guarantee his re election.. but he has also cut the deficit by 1 trillion his first year.. which while it would have been headed down, his getting all those funds out to people needing them the most and still having a trillion come off is enough to guarantee his re-election

But his handling of the Ukraine and backing down Putin when no one else would .. especially by just dropping the truth of what Putin was doing should guarantee his reelection in 2024.. and his bringing NATO back together.. amazing

Those running in 2022 .. you know guys you have something to run on.. Bidens record..

However, numerous states have changed their laws which will allow state legislatures to simply overrule the vote of the people in their state and send a different slate of electors.

So even if Biden wins Ohio, they will send a slate of electors for trump (or Desantis).

How we overcome that I have no idea.

Unfortunately as Democrats we get a little insular sometimes.. we can have the majority of the vote and still lose an election. We have to have someone who appeals to the center and center left and even steal from the center right.. that is where most people live.. If the middle of the country Democrats run on Biden's record they have a much greater chance of getting elected. People vote their pocketbooks and there is truth to that.. and Biden has been good for the average person

..whether or not the states will accept them.

Two elections in a row showed the majority of voters wanted a Democrat...no reason to think it will be different in 2024.
