Why Pennsylvania looks like Democrats' best hope of flipping a Senate seat this November

I think both John Fetterman in PA and Tim Ryan in Ohio have a chance for open Senate seats

"With one month to go until the primary election, Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is leading in the polls for the Democratic Party’s nomination for an open U.S. Senate seat, while the Republican race has narrowed to an expensive two-person contest.

The retirement of Republican Sen. Pat Toomey has opened up two primaries in what might be the Democratic Party’s best chance to gain a Senate seat in the fall. The Democratic frontrunner since the beginning of the race, Fetterman is looking to maintain his polling lead through the May 17 primary.

Fetterman has been a prolific fundraiser, building on a reputation he established in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election when he loudly rebutted claims of election fraud leveled by Republicans. The tall, goateed and tattooed Fetterman has a distinctive look for a would-be senator, standing out in crowds as he campaigns though rural areas where the GOP typically enjoys wide margins of victory.

Fetterman has campaigned on legalizing recreational marijuana use and ending the legislative filibuster in the Senate, and has been an outspoken supporter of gay and transgender rights, including flying a pro-trans flag from his Harrisburg office."

"Mr. Fetterman now leads the Democratic primary with 41% of registered Democrats saying they’d support him in the upcoming May 17 election and 26% who are still undecided, according to the poll. Approximately 17% of voters said they’d support Mr. Lamb, while only 4% said they’d support state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta."

Tim Ryan has not run a good primary...but I still think he wins and needs to step up his game for the General. The GOP are tearing each other apart. We also have to watch New Hampshire. My sister in Georgia says she thinks Warnock can pull it off in GA...Stacey Abrams running for Governor will help.

We dodged a huge bullet (the biggest so far) in NH when Sununu passed on running, I am fairly sure he would have won.

I can make GOTV calls...I do the same in PA where I used to live, Georgia where I used to live (my sister is still there) I now live in Ohio so Tim Ryan is close to beating the GOP trash...honestly, the primary has been very bitter and angry....almost descending into physical fights at the debates. Lots of GOTV...door to door also...probably offering lifts to the polls too.

at Netflix for showing Hitler documentaries...I guess they love Fascist now...Damn my Dad's older brother came home from WWII and his wife promptly ditched him because she regarded him as a 'killer' ...some weird religion. My Dad said he was never the same after the war...once I ran away back to our old house -a couple of miles away- how my 7-year-old self found her way I don't know...he came after me after my friend's Mom called and yelled at me the entire way and then hugged me and said, "didn't I know how important that I was to my Him and the rest of my family? I could have been killed".

He wrote in a diary for years and detailed his war experiences...he had been through a great dead (from D-Day where he parachuted to Omaha Beach to the liberation of Berlin...and was one of the American soldiers who liberated Buchwald...he told my Grandmother he lost his faith after seeing the horrible camp and what people were capable of... These right-wingers are not just wrong, and stupid. I think they are evil.

Thank you for sharing this! I have watched a lot of Hitler documentaries, I think everybody should watch and shudder at the stories and views. I think a trip to the camp museums should be mandatory too. People need to see and feel the full evil of this man. They need to realize how absolutely inhumane the whole operation was!
