A little bit of good news. This time for our pets.

Maryland just signed into law a prohibition on declawing cats.

Also just signed is an extreme weather bill that sets minimum standards for pets outdoors in high summer temperatures and below 32. Pets must have access to water and shelter if left outdoors for more than 30 minutes.





As a side note, Our Golden Retriever LOVES to lay outside like he was sunbathing . . . . in the snow! He does the same in the rain.

It is not natural for animals with claws to be without their claws..it stresses them out...preemptively sharpening their claws against (real or imaginary) aggressors is such a built in instinct that it needs some outlet so internal stress does not build up ;-/...
