Five Russian military enlistment offices have been torched.

This makes me feel a smidge better to know that the Russian resistance is at work.

The latest incident took place in the remote Mordovia region Monday, according to the 7x7 news website. Molotov cocktails burned down several computers and a database of conscripts in the Zubova Polyana settlement.

"The recruitment campaign in the [local] districts was put on pause," the iStories online news outlet said.

Could the authoritarians begun to overstep and make people begin to really challenge their authority?

As a rather craven person (who frankly chooses avoidance/flight over fight given an option), I am always impressed by people who risk prison or death in places like Russia or China...I would not dare get into confrontations with the overtly anti-democratic fascists who are in full control of everything in countries like Russia or China. You cannot really debate a crazy authoritarian when the chips are down or at least scaredy cats like me can't..but I do respect the people who do..I am usually supporting them (at the very back of the crowd and in a muted voice ). I am pro-mask in engagements with lunatics..I would need to actually be unwell to risk confrontations in general and with crazy people in particular...so seriously go them. Good on them for resisting a vicious butcher like Putin. If you are kind of a chicken though decent..the best you can do is silently support decency and avoid all engagement with paranoid crazies with authoritarian leanings who project..But that would be too inadequate in a hellscape like Putin's Russia.

and the energy to act, I would take one for the country.

Massive respect to the folks who are doing this! May they inherit that nation with so much potential, and such historically bad governance.

I'm also wondering about all the murdered officials and execs. What's the reason for going after them now? Could they also be potential insider Putin saboteurs?
