That would be Republicans trying to remember the content of every phone call they participated in, whether they publicly denied saying what they said, and wondering if there are tapes of those conversations that will surface proving them to be liars - or worse.

There's no shortage of flop-sweat in GOP circles right now - and I am delightedly savouring that thought.

Not all Republican voters are Trump-humpers who excuse being lied to.

While the attention is always on the squeaky-wheel MAGAts, there are Republican voters out there who elected GOPers because they believed them to be truth-tellers and honest brokers. It's those voters who might make a difference in future elections.

Dismissing ALL voters who usually vote (R) as people who accept being lied to is, IMHO, a mistake that Democrats can't afford to make.

It was very obvious to all that the "NO MASKS" in small spaces was to let the Oaf Creepers and other insurrectionists who not to kill. Given the general lack of volume control of MTG, Gaetz, Boebert, Gohmert, Gym ... they should all know that those fearing for their lives would be recording what was being said so that in the event that they were massacred according to the plan for wearing masks -- that their families would be able to get justice.

So, there are likely tapes of phone calls and also tapes of only the coup caucus side of the conservations where they say the name of who they are speaking to.

Hopefully, at some point the DOJ will do something with this -- but I will be yelled at here for thinking that there are far too many Federalist society goons in the FBI and DOJ and that the AG has no spine for there to be real criminal consequences for the Rethug leaders who were involved.
