Lies are a deadly virus.

The acceptance of the lies is even more deadly.

Nobody has a monopoly on the "truth" but some people choose to accept bald-faced lies as their reality. There are consequences. Only through experience and tragedy will they accept that something was true or untrue.

It is for the benefit of all if we can stay as close to the facts as humanly possible.

It is a cynical political strategy to try and gain power thru lies and/or intentional deception.

There will be a price to pay. There is always a price to pay.

Lies are a destructive force and must be defeated. Otherwise, they will likely lead to a tragic end.

It's not that people believe things that are wrong... I've believed things that are wrong, probably still do, I bet everyone does. It's believing things that are openly wrong, easily provable wrong... FFS common sense wrong. It's believing things even after all the facts are out in the open proving it wrong but still clinging to the lie.

In my mind it started with TFG's inauguration crowd size. I still see magats go full on defending this flat out lie... Not just going through the motions of defending Dear Leader... They really believe it and get genuinely angry at anything that proves it wrong. It's fucking insane... And if someone can that easily delude themselves about something that non-controversial... Pretty much any atrocity is on the table for them.

It scares me.

They feel their delusions have been validated. "Yep! You're right, Jethro! That sky is green!"

Where does it lead? That is the danger. But we know that it does not lead to a good place.
