How did those reporters get the tape of McCarthy??

Liz Cheney made a statement that it did not come from her.

Who else might have had a tape of that conversation? It may have been said in front of the entire Republican caucus? Any Republican House member could have passed it on to the reporters.

I suspect McCarthy and his Merry Band of Liars are trying to figure that out this morning?

What other tapes might still be out there that might expose their lies and hypocrisy even further?

It's a mystery.

While Liz and Mitch were doing most of the talking a group of other critters who were then alarmed by the whole thing were looped in. Any one of them could have taped it, and released it because they are pissed off that Mitch didn't follow through to do something about the situation.

Maybe he doesn't want to work with McCarthy. I think for Mitch, he'd rather win the senate back and let the House stay Democratic. He can block judicial nominees and legislation. But he doesn't have to deal with a crazy House impeaching Biden and sending him stuff that might hurt 2024 chances.

13. I'm thinking staffers on both sides listen in to conversations as a matter of record.

Staffers may even record for transcribing purposes...so my money is on a staffer who thinks more of the country than most GOPers.
