Remember when, after 9/11, the Republicans were so anxious about "Homeland Security", that along....

.....with creating a entire new government agency, they pushed through laws allowing it to tap into main telephone trunk lines to monitor and record massive numbers of telephone calls? The fear was that our privacy was being eroded by an overzealous response to national security. If these same republicans are now panicking trying to recall conversations they had on January 6th, I hope that consideration of this reality that they created adds to their fears.
