Question about Pence, the Secret Service and the Car on Jan 6th

Okay I always thought that Pence didn't want to get in the car on Jan 6th because if he left the grounds of the Capitol it would close the session and caused a Constitutional Crisis but looking at new reports is it that Pence didn't trust the Secret Service team and was afraid of something worse?

1. Yes he was concerned about getting in a car with SS agents he didn't know.

So he stayed put in the garage basement from what I recall.

I got the feeling that it was not his regular security detail. And he didn’t trust them. He knew if they took him off the Capitol grounds that vote count would never continue

5. I think we are reading more into this than the reporting shows.

Pence said “I trust you” to the lead of the detail. He did not want to leave the building.

The Service job is to protect the VP. If the VP got in the car with me on that day, I would have left the building. It would have been the correct security decision.

It was his detail, they were there to protect him, but it would clearly be easier to protect him at Joint Base Andrews than in the US Capitol with a band of domestic terrorists inside the building.

13. The day before (?) Grassley tweeted he'd take Pence's place counting electoral votes.

It gave the impression Pence wouldn’t be there and some degree of planning had gone into that. Pence may well have known there was a greater degree of skullduggery (euphemism for insurrection) afoot than we are yet privy to.

If the VP was killed, that would be a bold excuse to initiate martial law and delay the transfer of power.

So, there was Grassley ready to take Pence's place; there was a well-prepared mob attacking the capital; there were slates of alternative electors prepared; there were bombs in place; there were stashes of weapons nearby and more that has yet to be revealed.

I suspect that if all the above strategies failed, Pence's execution would be next.

16. That has been my theory all along, I think he knew that if he got in that car that would be the end

because what I understand is that the people driving the limo were not his usual drivers, maybe his designated executioners?, and what I have said all along is that he didn't do it out of patriotism, he didn't get in that car because of self preservation, something did not smell right, and he was most probably right.

The fact there was a limo waiting for him, with new drivers should be questioned. The fact that BUSES were ready to remove officials out from the Capitol should also be investigated.

Two people posing as Customs Enforcement agents were arrested. They had some contact with some SS agents.
