An open thread on DU about Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cracked open my 60yo armor. I watch his updates each night on Telegram. He can make my heart ache or sing ... but standing back I am amazed by his skill a a politician:. The 'press conference' 160 feet below ground in Kyiv's subway being a case in point. I am floored by his intelligence, learning and compassion. Sláva Ukrayíni!

I don't think he even knows the extent in the Ukraine's on-going nightmares, and I can only assume his often-silent cries.

And yet, the appearance is strong, confident, and loving for the people of Ukraine. Ukraine is united and enduring fight to remain a central culture for a lifetime.

Glory Ukraine.

Many assumed he would be a pushover when it came to Russia.

We were all proven wrong and I, for one, am very glad that I was proven wrong.
