So I've been given a phony Democrat for a Congressman and now Biden's endorsed him.

Kurt Schrader, an embarrassment to my neighboring district for years, has become my rep through redistricting, giving us a chance to finally elect an honest and progressive replacement.

Today I hear that Joe Biden is endorsing him, a conduit for pharmaceutical and insurance money who has showered my mailbox for the past few weeks with lies of how he’s stood up to these interests.

Say it ain’t so, Joe.

I see the state AFL-CIO has endorsed McLeod-Skinner, as well.

Schraeder has been a Democratic member of the House since the 2008 Election. Apparently the Democrats in your district like him.

He voted against lowering drug costs, he took money from Big Pharma, Big Oil, and the NRA. He’s unfortunately in my district and I’ve wanted to get him out for years. He comes out of the woodwork for ads for his re-election. That’s the only time I hear from him. It took him several days to make a statement regarding both impeachments, the insurrection, etc.
I will not vote for him unless he’s the dem candidate in Nov.
Really, I agree with the op. I’m really disheartened that Joe endorsed him. I get it. We need Dem majority. I’m just sick that Schrader is still in Congress. He doesn’t represent me, he represents himself.

have all endorsed Jamie McLeod Skinner. She’s a solid Democrat and has not prevaricated about where her support comes from, unlike Schrader.

I don’t want this guy as my Congressman without having had the chance to vote against him. My disappointment in Biden is deep.

That’s what the primary is for. Assuming you’ve registered for the May primary, you should be getting your ballot soon.

I’m in Kurt’s district. He’s been my rep for years. I would have no problem voting for him if he makes it through the primary.

Congressman Schrader likened it to a lynching, which didn't sit well with a whole bunch of people. MacLeod Skinner would be a BIG improvement for the District.

I wonder if the problem is that they don't realize the local drama that their money supporters have been a part of? How they're responsible for suffocating change within the local Democratic party at the same time they're giving Republicans a chance to build traction? I wonder, sometimes, if it isn't a disingenuous political cycle. Local people who are close to seeing a fall for their bad judgement, suddenly become great political campaign organizers for federal candidates and manage to win over endorsements for their preferred candidates.

I just don't see how that changes until "word gets out on the street."
