'You can't imagine the conditions' - Accounts emerge of Russian detention camps

Oleksandr and Olena are two of the lucky few who recently managed to escape from Mariupol, which is now almost under full Russian control after weeks of bombardment.
...
But the pair, and others, have given chilling accounts of life in Russia's so-called filtration camps, set up outside Mariupol to house civilians before they are evacuated.
...
They were right to worry. Oleksandr says that during their interrogation, Russian security officers examined photographs, phone call history and contact numbers on their devices for links with journalists or government and military officials.

"If a person was suspected of being a 'Ukrainian Nazi', they took them to Donetsk for further investigation or murder," says Oleksandr, although the BBC has not been able to verify this claim. "It was very dangerous and risky. Any small doubt, any small resistance - and they could take you to the basements for interrogation and torture. Everybody was afraid to be taken to Donetsk."

atrocities of this war keep piling up and increasing. When will the Western Countries finally admit they were wrong all along about this conflict? Putin had no business, right or reason for invading Ukraine, other than to eliminate the population and take over the land. As a whole, the West should have stood up to Putin while he was spending six weeks amassing forces at the border, stating that they would force any intrusion back to the Russian border.

They, we, did not. Now look at the mess that is this war. Ukraine is being leveled inch by inch, their people are being tortured and murdered, and we sit idly by watching it happen. Sure we are shipping weapons and ammo, and thought and prayers (big deal), but what Zelensky needed was man power.

If anyone thinks this is going to end when every single Ukrainian is either dead or has left the country, they are wrong. Russia will take a break and then pick another country to invade and conquer. Putin will not stop because no one is facing up to him or calling his bluff. It is obvious the Russian army is not the feared military machine we have been taught to believe it is in the last sixty years. It is old, weak with poor leadership and a crappy chain of command structure. The main hole card for them is they have nukes. Certainly nothing to trifle with, but still, just a bluff. Somewhere down the road, there has to be push back against Putin's aggression. I feel that was two months ago, but the next two to six months will reveal if we are doing the right thing now, or if it was a gigantic blunder.

might be disloyal to the regime he wants to set up in Ukraine and killing them.
We need to supply Ukraine with everything they need to defeat him.
Is UKR able to airdrop supplies into Mariupol? I've never heard.
