How About THIS, Elon? You Buy Twitter, and Convert It to a Fact-Free Speech Zone...

...and we'll create thousands of fake news sites, showing fake scientific 'evidence' that Teslas cause impotence, testicular swelling, magnetism, and uncontrollable flatulence.

Based upon what I see from the Twitter posts here it is mostly hyperbole and a bunch of self appointed experts.

I mean, ok. Not sure why I'm supposed to be exercised about this. So the flames will be slightly different colors.

Don't get me wrong - I'm absolutely here for the drama of it all. A platform where 90% of the posts comes from 3% of the users is somehow this stalwart of all democracy, and this is the worst thing ever.

It's a thing for people glued to social media all day, certainly. Not sure why anyone else would care.

I know I care because it's funny as shit. I cannot believe I have no popcorn in the house for this.

I don't see it as influential at all. I see it as mostly BS and that is my charitable take on it. Happily I don't have a Twitter Account as I never saw it as that terribly important. My hope is that it will result in fewer Twitter linked posts here and I can only see that as beneficial to the discussion, separating more of the chaff from the wheat.

He's already up to his eyeballs in it over the fallout from the faulty "driverless" software.

As I recall, there were multiple instances where his machinations have kept him out of bankruptcy. I won't be surprised if this turns out to be another example of that.
