We have undeniable evidence that they engaged in seditious conspiracy and the DoJ hasn't arrested them yet. Greene is still allowed to be in Congress.
It makes no sense. If you or I did a fraction of what these 2 did, we'd have already been booked and sitting in jail.
I really have no faith in Garland at all. It seems like his DoJ is designed to protect Republican politicians.

(12,286 posts)You and I clearly aren't smart enough to know why the DOJ moves at a glacial pace for seditious Republicans.

(21,761 posts)Last one I know of was the Hutaree... That investigation started in 2008 and went for two years before arrests were made... And that was not the biggest case by ever DOJ as this one is so... Which one was so much faster?

(21,761 posts)What exactly is that evidence? I get that people can think 'well, it seems plain as day to me' but proving things in a court of law is a bit different so... What exactly is the "undeniable evidence"?

(3,213 posts)Greene texted: "In our private chat with only Members, several are saying the only way to save our Republic is for Trump to call for Marshall (sic) law. I don't know on those things. I just wanted you to tell him. They stole this election. We all know. They will destroy our country next. Please tell him to declassify as much as possible so we can go after Biden and anyone else!"

(21,761 posts)Nor does any there... In fact, there is a ton we are not seeing there. 'Some people are saying' and 'I don't know on these things' are not going to hold up in court. And what was Meadows reply? Oop's, it's missing so... How does that play out in court?
Again... It may be obvious to you but it has to be proof in a court of law.

Ohio Joe
(21,761 posts)That would make it easy but it is not what it shows. This text you showed is from 1/17 and you see one person say something that 'they don't know about' and the other person says nothing... And that plot did not happen. It's part of the puzzle of 1/6 it is not "undeniable evidence".

(7,850 posts)and issue their final report...peeling the rotten GOP onion is their job..you say you have no faith in Garland because his DOJ doesn't leak?..because they don't tantalize us with J6 "we've got the goods" teasers?..DOJ investigations, particularly ones of this magnitude, require a heavy shroud of secrecy and that's a good thing...as for "Garland's DOJ designed to protect Republican politicians"..you're wrong..that was Barr's DOJ...

(3,697 posts)I suspect you know that already. I'm tired of these calls for arrests and whining about what Garland/DOJ is or is not doing when none of us know what's happening in the background. What purpose do these complaining posts do at DU other than to undermine our confidence in the justice system and create mistrust and dampen our energy and interest to keep fighting?
I've been a paying DU member for a very long time and it saddens me to see so much doom and gloom at the site. Some of it, but not all is coming from trolls out to create chaos and sow discord among the Dems here.

(15,240 posts)You can be thrown in jail immediately and have your car or boat or house confiscated because a trace of an illegal drug is found, whether you had anything to do with how it got to wherever it was found or not.
But apparently sedition and contempt of Congress and the Hatch Act and bribing public officials and the Emoluments clause and all that... well, those things are complicated, you see.
Unless the authorities have ten times the evidence needed to convict an ordinary person in court, you aren't even arrested or charged.
