Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI have never had a Twitter account, but I have clicked on and read numerous tweets.
That stops now.
If I unknowingly access a tweet, I will move on as soon as I realize it is Twitter.
I am sure the attitude of many is "So what?" I simply want to make it clear that I hope the little blue bird meets a hungry cat named "backlash".

(8,704 posts)If the un-American fascist buys Twitter then leave it. We can't be funding a fascist pos. Senators and Congressmen should leave. Advertisers should leave and not support a racist, bigot and fascist platform that welcomes it. Create another message media app. There will be a big opportunity for that.

(89 posts)I'm new here and I just clicked the 'tweet' button at the bottom of your post. Twitter wanted me to log in. Does this mean that any member here with a twitter account can tweet any original post from this site? If so, maybe someone needs to rethink that button.

(46,339 posts)Right now, I use it to keep up with a group of "Spyro The Dragon" fans, but if it goes too political, then I'll quit.
I also like the videos I see there, a lot, especially cat and kitten videos.

(42,761 posts)DU is as close as it gets. When I open up and OP that has a Twitter link I just move on.
I might add ... one thing that turned me off against Twitter here is the posts that have "Check this out" or "Here" or "Cool" or something similar in the subject line and then the only thing in the body of the msg is a Twitter link with no further explanation. I wish there was a way to filter out crap like this.

(13,915 posts)has a twitter account attached to it, twitter drops a cookie into my account. I go into my Safari preferences/privacy/manage website accounts and delete the cookie. I don't like twitler, facebook, instagram looking over my shoulder..
I could block all cookies but that would be a pain..
YMMV
