(86,775 posts)Rep. Raskin who nodded in agreement that it would be early June.
I think it's due to all the new evidence that keeps piling up.

(7,715 posts)They are taking it down to the wire. If it is as explosive as I think it might be, perhaps that will help in November.
I do wish they would at least start in May to get the ball rolling.

(9,998 posts)Right at the start of Summer, when everybody will be doing Summer things, meaning they won't be sitting at home glued to their TV sets.
It's all a Dog & Pony Show anyways. Since there is unlikely to be any accountability, I honestly have little interest in getting myself all worked up over whatever EXPLOSIVE information is going to come out.

(9,998 posts)We're living in a Completely different country from the one that existed in the early 70's. The repubs in Congress actually went to Nixon and told him to resign. Today's repubs were in on the scheme with TFG and couldn't care less.
Not to mention people have more or less spent the last 2 Summers stuck indoors, watching TV, and they're not going to do that this year. I guarantee you that.

(10,067 posts)that it keeps getting delayed. Hopefully they will just get this done and before the middle of summer. Want the viewers to be engaged and not on summer holidays.

(5,586 posts)Cheney has been the de facto public face of the committee, and Im not sure shed sign up for what the majority of Repubs would call political sabotage.
Will they see a difference between trying to call out Trump, and attempting to doom their own party right before the election?

(2,540 posts)That would mean the hearings would only last for June and July. Who pays attention in the summer?
They should start it the Monday after Labor day that way it's going while people are talking about voting in November
