2. Employers really should post the salary

It would save the applicants and the employers a lot of time and energy.
Earlier this year, I had an interview only to learn that the employer was paying at least $20K under the going rate. They led the interview with it and said the amount was firm. Because I had already prepared and set the time aside, I went ahead with the interview. The next day, I told them that I withdrew my application and said that the quoted salary must mean they were looking for someone substantially junior to me.
It happened about 2 months ago and I am still galled.

3. I can't imagine going to an interview for a job where the salary wasn't posted

It's like when there are no prices listed, you know they must be exorbitant. Same thing in reverse is what I assume if no salary is listed.

4. Companies say they don't want their competition to know how much

they pay employees. But the real reason is that employers figure they can hire job candidates for less money if they don’t disclose the salary range ahead of time.

10. I love how bad employers are being exposed online

This is a terrific time to be job hunting. Good employers who value their people are poaching the best talent from the bad employers.

Glassdoor is a great resource for finding salaries and company reviews. More workers should use it.

And it's been a few years since anyone has informed me that I'm stealing jobs away from "real" Americans. That was relentless during the recession years.
