But I did. The president was amazing. Mr. Noah was amazing. My eyes are leaking.

OF NOTE: The audience leapt to its feet and started applauding, a beat before Trevor Noah finished his bit. That almost never happens with that crowd.

C-span didn't show much of the audience, and didn't identify people who weren't on the dais.

I agree that Trevor's speech had a "friendly" tone, but he got some good digs in too.

Camera caught him during one of the early Fox jokes and he was NOT smiling.

He did a brilliant job. He was really biting in his roast without being terribly mean. But his jibes cut right to the bone. A lot of truth between the lines. He zinged all the right people really revealing their flaws. A lot of deserving people have a lot to be embarrassed about.

He had the right touch, biting but backed by truth.
It appeared the audience was put back in their chairs.
Not many guffaw. Mostly introspection.
Reality check.
Testicular fortitude.

Too much anti Biden content.

Tonight? Job well done sir!

Our country does not need more division.

I was glad there weren't many old jokes.
I'm 67 today.
