giving rise to covering "both sides" of any issue and the need to promote close contests, even if one side or candidate is clearly off the rails crazy. Nobody watches the game till the end in one side is leading by a huge margin by half time. And that hurts profits.

"If Russian journalists, who are losing their livelihoods (as you were talking about, Steve), and their freedom for daring to report on what their own government is doing, if they had the freedom to write any words or any stories, or to ask any questions, if they had basically what you have, would they be using it in the same way that you do.
Ask yourself that question every day because you have one of the most important roles in the world."

and she tells the story about how those Fux people would come up to her at the Xmas party and confess that they knew they were being lying sacks of shit on the air but well, you know, career, money, blah, blah, blah.

taste sucks, or their favorite comedian or actor sucks. My husband cured me of that habit when we were quite young, his musical taste was far more advanced than mine, and I have a godawful stubborn streak, I wanted comfort music like he liked comfort food. He wanted me to taste different flavors. Best friend EVER.

Trevor Noah is not everyone's cup of tea, I know, I've heard the critique, for what that's worth. Can't for the life of me imagine why, he is brilliant. He can cut like a knife with a boyish charm unlike any other. He has the sweetness of Colbert, the sarcasm of John Oliver, and the wit of Jon Stewart.

South Africa and Apartheid formed his world view. In a world of Elon Musks, be a Trevor Noah. And here I swore I would never say that EM word again.
