2. Sweden had an air intrusion

by a Russian owned observer aircraft recently. Russia has threatened both Sweden and Finland over NATO membership. So, I am hoping that this doesn't mean Russia is up to mischief in that direction.

3. RU is already spread thin in UKR. They'd be foolish to take on more fronts.

But they could use the pretext of a NATO attack to conscript more RU soldiers, I suppose. But they would be untrained mostly.

Russia has made plenty of foolish decisions in this war, so who knows.

I think they are just saber rattling with Finland and Sweden.

They have repeatedly warned Sweden and Finland. I wouldn't put it past them to deliberately stage a provocative act just to follow through with their threats, and then blame it on someone else.

Putin clearly has Belarusian troops to pick from, as well as Kaliningrad. Plus, he hasn't mobilized conscripts from the streets of Russia yet.

I agree, this is a very stupid war. Putin thought that he could take Kyiv (however we are spelling it these days), but he couldn't. But, the real objectives are to own the seacoast, and I think the whole seacoast was always the objective. And, he'll try for that little blob of Ukraine down past Odesa up to the border there.

We need to slip a couple of subs in there to take out that Russian sub shooting down near Odesa. Just sayin'.

Putin has designs on control over Europe. Scaring the US and NATO into compliance.

Putin wishes to be a 21st century superpower, and he must first get regional control. China is planning the same in Asia.

I just watched that tree ring video where Krakatoa changed the entire world for at least two years. It wouldn't take much to shock us all into doing other things than make war, although I think we are running out of time. Damn them all.

China may have NK do some of its dirty work.

I know, I have had the exact same thoughts.
