to the homeland." How a government board will "address disinformation" remains a mystery. Still, I can see why Republicans feel threatened by it; spreading dangerous disinformation is pretty much all they do.

While I worry most about a repub admin running this, I'm not completely sure Dems would do much better.

"What about The Disinformation Governance Board for the Department of Homeland Security?"

"Brilliant! What shall its powers be if people ask?"

"Just be vague. People trust us."

"We deserve a raise."

Yes, let's have the government determine what is or is not true. What could possibly go wrong?

It's such an outrageously dumb, anti-speech, authoritarian idea, I can't believe our side isn't at least raising an eyebrow in its direction.
