Exposed Russian false flag for Transnistria

The gist: Transnistria (legally part of Moldova but occupied with Russian troops) pre-prints a newspaper about alleged terrorist attacks attributed to Ukrainians in a false flag operation. Newspaper is dated 2 May, Ukraine intelligence obtained the leaked newspaper and published it on 1 May.

I translated the article in the link. Here is the google translation:

Another provocation of the Russian Federation: a newspaper about the “bloody terrorist attacks” has already been printed in Pridnestrovie for the May holidays

On the territory of the unrecognized PMR, a large circulation of the newspaper "Pridnestrovie" was printed, which is dated May 2, 2022.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the newspaper contains a number of articles about "bloody terrorist attacks that hit Pridnestrovians on the May holidays." We are talking about "dozens of those killed, including children, the elderly and women."

“Since the newspaper was published on the eve of the holidays, there is a danger that the Kremlin authorities are planning to carry out a series of acts of intimidation among the local population, for which they will traditionally lay responsibility on “Ukraine and the collective West,” intelligence noted.

Also, the newspaper published an article "Official appeal of the inhabitants of the PMR to the President of the Russian Federation Putin."

In the text, the leadership of the unrecognized Transnistria asks "to involve the armed forces of the PMR in the actions of the Russian army." To do this, "mobilization points" are being opened on the territory of Russia itself to recruit volunteers to fight in the army of Transnistria.

“By such actions, the leadership of the Russian Federation can prepare a new springboard for aggression against Ukraine and the basis for the “official” occupation of part of the territory of independent Moldova,” the GUR added.

DEATH TO THE RUSSIAN OCCUPANTS!

Double down. It’s not inevitable, maybe he’ll be deposed, but until then he’s is a dangerous individual. It’s not unprecedented that Russia could just pull out. They did it in Afghanistan, but this is much closer to home and Putin’s ego is on the line.

2. When I reads the line, "Russia could pull out" it brought to mind some graffiti I saw in 1971:

Nixon came thru my little home town during that campaign. In a motorcade. Everyone lined the streets. I had a McGovern sign and my friend had a Dick Nixon before he dicks you sign. I guess we were in around 8-9th grade. There were mounted cops patrolling everywhere and one came over to us and said “you know how much that sign scares me, boy?” And proceeded to try to run us over. I shoved the sign in the horse’ face and we bolted into the crowd. Sure scared the hell out of me.

That area would certainly have voted for trump but was was surprised to read that Biden carried that county last election. They’re pretty conservative around that area, but also pretty Union oriented (Lordstown was there), so I guess they finally figured out what a liar he was.

Those Russian troops will have their livers and kidneys--not to mention their accessible asses--handed to them.

Transdnistria is a botch and blight on the face of the chancre that is un-reconstructed post-Soviet Soviet-space.

It will solve the PMR problem. An intelligent and capable Ukr army will easily manage to dispose of the idjitarians, and show good will by yielding the territory to their new BFFs, Moldova. As before, I'll show my fascist underside by saying, "All transdnistrovians will be given a 5-year window of opportunity to emigrate, no questions asked, and perhaps with a stipend worth many, many rubles or several dollars. After that, pro-Russo-Soviet agitation and actions will be greeted by a death sentence. Enjoy!" Allow anti-human political parties only after 20 years. Yeah, there's the problem of figuring out what "anti-human" means, so let's blame the gin.

But, seriously, плацдарм does *not* mean "springboard." Go ogle at your own risk. What you ogle may not be something that's quite appropriate. Ahem.

It's from "place d'armes" via non-French. Originally parade grounds, it's undergone semantic spread. Think "arena" in the military sense, or non-Shakespearean "theater". The Verdun was not a springboard, there was no Battle of the Springboard ("bulge&quot . Indulging in the etymological fallacy, the courtyard before Buckingham and Pretty Square are still not springboards. (By "Pretty square," since I'm doing the etymological fallacy to the hilt--"Red Square" meant "Pretty Square" centuries ago.)
